This policy explains what information tiersi.com (the “Service”) collects, why, and what choices you have. The Service is operated by the owner of tiersi.com (“we”, “us”), who is responsible for your information. Contact: info@tiersi.com.
1. The short version
- You can build and download a resume without an account.
- While you work, your resume stays in your browser. It reaches our server only when you choose to save it.
- If you create an account, we keep your email address and the resumes you save to it.
- We count how features are used with an anonymous identifier, not your IP address.
- We do not sell your personal information and we do not show ads based on it.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details. If you create an account, your email address (used as your login) and the password you set.
- Saved resumes. When you press Save, the content of your resume: the text in the form (for example your name, contact details, job history, education and skills), the design you chose and, if you added one, your photo.
- Messages. Anything you send us by email.
Information stored only on your device
The builder keeps your work in progress, your design choices and, for resumes saved without an account, a private link token in your browser’s local storage and session storage. This information stays on your device; we cannot see it unless you save a resume. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Information collected automatically
- Usage events. We record simple events such as a template being viewed, a resume being generated or a file being downloaded, together with the template or job title involved. Each event carries an identifier created by one-way hashing of your IP address and browser details with a secret value. We do not store the IP address itself, and the identifier cannot practically be turned back into it.
- Security and server logs. Like most websites, our servers and hosting provider process your IP address, browser type and the pages you request to deliver the site, prevent abuse (for example, limiting how often forms can be sent) and keep it secure. These records are kept for a limited period, only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
3. How we use information
- To provide the Service: show and save your resumes, create your account and produce the files you download.
- To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
- To understand which templates and features are used, so we can improve them (using the anonymous events above).
- To reply to your messages and send account emails (such as your login details). We do not send marketing email unless you have agreed to receive it.
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, our legal bases are: performance of our agreement with you (providing the Service and your account), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention and improving the Service), and your consent where we ask for it.
4. Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who host and operate the site for us, such as our hosting and email delivery providers, under terms that limit their use of it.
- Font providers. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. To deliver the fonts, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address. See Google’s privacy policy.
- Authorities when required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of users.
- A successor if the Service is transferred as part of a merger or sale, subject to this policy.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The site uses:
- Login cookies set by WordPress when you sign in, to keep you signed in. They are necessary for accounts to work.
- Local storage and session storage in your browser, described in section 2, so the builder can remember your work between visits.
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you do, the builder may forget unsaved work and you will be signed out.
6. How long we keep information
- Resumes saved to an account: until you delete them or your account.
- Resumes saved without an account: until deleted; they may be removed after a period of inactivity.
- Account details: until you delete your account.
- Usage events: in anonymous form, for as long as they are useful for statistics.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email info@tiersi.com from the address on your account. We will confirm your identity and respond within the time required by law (usually 30 days). You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may request access to or deletion of your information as described above, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Resumes saved without an account can be opened by anyone who has their private link — keep it private.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
Our servers and service providers may be located in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. If changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to let account holders know.
