Effective date: September 25, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of tiersi.com and everything on it — the resume builder, templates, resume examples, cover letter and reference tools, wage pages and any account features (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by the owner of tiersi.com (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you create an account, you confirm that the information you give us is accurate and that you will keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
2. What the Service does
The Service helps you write and format a resume and related documents. It offers design templates, sample wording, example resumes and wage figures for reference. The builder can suggest text (for example, an opening summary assembled from details you entered and from a library of phrases). You decide what goes into your documents; suggestions are starting points, not statements of fact about you.
3. Your content
You own the text, photos and other material you enter (“Your Content”). You are responsible for it: it must be accurate, you must have the right to use it, and it must not be unlawful, misleading or infringe anyone else’s rights. Do not claim qualifications, licenses, employers or results you do not have.
You give us a limited permission to store, process and display Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you — for example, to show your resume in the builder, save it to your account and produce the files you download. We do not publish Your Content or use it to build our examples.
Much of the builder works in your browser. Content you have not saved to an account may be kept only on your device and can be lost if you clear your browser data or change devices. Keep your own copies of anything important.
4. Templates, examples and other materials
The templates, designs, example resumes, sample wording, page text, graphics and software of the Service (“Our Materials”) belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You may use Our Materials to create, download, print and send resumes, cover letters and reference sheets for yourself (or, if you are a career coach or similar, for an individual client you are helping). You may not:
- resell, sublicense or redistribute the templates or examples, alone or as part of a template pack, product or service;
- copy the site, its examples or its wage pages in bulk, or scrape, crawl or harvest them by automated means, except search engines indexing public pages;
- remove notices, reverse engineer the Service, or interfere with its security or operation;
- use the Service to send spam or to create documents for fraud or impersonation.
People, employers, schools and details shown in example resumes and templates are fictional. Portraits in templates are illustrative placeholders. Any resemblance to real people is coincidental.
5. Wage data
Wage pages summarize published U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates (Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics). They are statistical estimates for groups of workers, not offers, guarantees or advice. See our Disclaimer.
6. No guarantee of results
We do not guarantee that using the Service will get you an interview, a job or any particular salary, or that a document will pass any particular applicant tracking system. Hiring decisions are made by employers.
7. Files and formatting
Downloaded files (PDF, Word and others) are generated from what you see in the builder. Word processors, fonts and printers differ, and a file may look somewhat different when opened in another program or on another device. Please review every file before you send it.
8. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We try to keep saved resumes available, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for loss of content you have not kept a copy of.
9. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and may ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or that put the Service or other users at risk.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities or lost data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from Your Content or from your breach of these Terms.
13. Third-party services and links
The Service may link to or rely on third-party websites and services (for example, font providers or official data sources). We are not responsible for their content or practices.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to let account holders know. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
