Beta service

tiersi.com is in beta. The resume builder, templates, suggested wording, letter generators, checks and wage pages are still being tested, and they may contain errors, work differently than described, change or be withdrawn without notice. During the beta you use the service at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no responsibility for errors, inaccuracies or omissions in the service or in documents created with it, for interruptions or lost content, or for any decision you make or consequence you experience as a result of using it — including an application that is not successful or an opportunity that is missed. Check every document before you send it. If you find a problem, please tell us at info@tiersi.com.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is legal, financial, tax, immigration or career-counseling advice. Resume and job-search guidance reflects common practice and may not suit your situation, industry or country. For decisions that matter — a salary negotiation, a license requirement, an immigration question — consult a qualified professional.

Example resumes and templates

Example resumes are illustrations of structure and wording. The people, employers, schools, dates, figures and achievements in them are fictional, and portraits in templates are placeholders. Any resemblance to real people or organizations is coincidental. Do not copy an example’s claims into your own resume: describe only what is true of you.

Suggested wording

The builder can suggest phrasing, including an automatically assembled summary based on the details you enter. Suggestions may be incomplete or not fit your experience. You are responsible for checking and editing every line before you use it.

Wage information

Wage pages are based on the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) program and show the figures as published for the survey year stated on each page. Please keep in mind:

  • They are statistical estimates for groups of workers, not what any particular employer pays or will pay you.
  • Estimates are based on surveys, have sampling error and can lag current pay by a year or more.
  • Some figures are suppressed or capped by the source (for example, very high wages shown as a top-coded value), and not every occupation is published for every state or metro area.
  • Pay varies with experience, employer, industry, hours, location and many other factors.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics is the source of the data but does not endorse this site. We try to reproduce the figures accurately but cannot guarantee that they are complete, current or free of errors.

Applicant tracking systems

We design templates to be readable by common applicant tracking systems (ATS), but systems differ and change. We cannot guarantee how any specific system will read a document.

Accuracy and availability

We work to keep the site accurate and up to date, but content may contain errors or become outdated, and features may change or be unavailable. We make no warranties about the completeness, reliability or accuracy of the information on this site.

Occupation information from O*NET

The wording suggestions in the resume builder (summaries, duty lines, software skills and the job titles it recognizes) and the resume section of each occupation wage page include information from the O*NET 31.0 Database by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (USDOL/ETA). Used under the CC BY 4.0 license. O*NET® is a trademark of USDOL/ETA. The owner of tiersi.com has modified all or some of this information: task statements are rewritten as past-tense resume lines, detailed work activities are combined into summary sentences, occupation titles are shortened to the singular, software lists are reordered with in-demand software first, and occupations that O*NET does not describe separately are assembled from related O*NET occupations. USDOL/ETA has not approved, endorsed, or tested these modifications. To find out exactly which material is our own work, write to info@tiersi.com.

Trademarks

Product and company names mentioned on this site (for example, Microsoft Word or Google Docs) belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility. Their use does not imply endorsement.
